How to use our new computers:

  1. Find an available computer:
    1. You can log directly into any open computer that displays an “Available” message on the screen.
    2. If all the computers are being used, you can reserve the next available PC from the print release/reservation kiosk.
  2. To make a reservation (if needed):
    1. Go to the self-serve print release/reservation kiosk next to the photocopier.
    2. Scan or enter your library card number or enter a temporary guest pass number (please ask for a guest pass at the circulation desk).
      1. The system will assign you the “next available” computer.
    3. Confirm your reservation. Make sure to note which computer you have been assigned and at what time it will be available.
  3. Log in to your computer:
    1. If you had made a reservation, go to your assigned PC.
    2. Enter your library card or guest pass number to begin your session.
  4. Manage your session:
    1. A timer will appear on the screen to show how much time you have remaining.
    2. If no one is waiting for the computer after your session ends, you’ll be offered an option to extend your time.
    3. If you have to leave the computer for any reason (go to the bathroom, take a call, etc.) and intend to come back, please pause your session by clicking the “Options” button on the session taskbar and select “Hide This Screen.” You will need to enter a temporary password that you will use to resume your session when you return (maximum 15 minutes).
  5. End your session:
    1. When you are finished, click in “End Session” button in the session taskbar, and the computer will restart and clear any files you may have downloaded.
