Monarchs continue to be one of the most extensively studied insects. Ongoing research reveals the complexity of mating, stages of metamorphosis and migration. How to conserve the epic annual journey of both the spring and fall generations is an ongoing challenge.

This presentation by Cyrene Slegona, Maine Master Naturalist and avid Monarch student will address current recent research in Monarch biology, ecology, and conservation. She will also address community science efforts and best practices for creating and enhancing native pollinator habitat.
